South Football Streak extended to 42

The Middletown South Football teams won their record 42nd consecutive game with a 46-20 win over Toms River North. The Eagles jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead on touchdowns by Dave Dosil and Sean Barber. TR North cut the lead with a 17 yard touchdown pass by Arin West. Pat Campbell gave the Eagles another score on a 40 yard run which, after a missed extra point, made the score 20-7. West threw another touchdown pass, this one to Adam Carey to cut the lead to 6 points. The 6 point margin would be the closest TR North got to South as the Eagles out scored the Mariners 19-6 the rest of the game to improve their record to 6-0.

The Boy's soccer team lost to Colts Neck High School 3-1 on Friday dropping their record to 1-11-2. Mike Roura stopped 11 of the 14 shots on goal but counterpart Eric Gasser stopped 8 of 9.

Today the Boy's Cross Country team heads up to Van Cortland Park in New York City to run the Manhattan Invitational. Their race begins at 1:28. They will be running against 40 other teams from states such as New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Rhode Island and Florida.
