Results of Monmouth County Championships

As posted yesterday, the Middletown South boy's cross country team finished 5th in the Monmouth Cross Country Championships. Pat Montalbano led the way once again with a 16th place finish at 17:35. Brian Miller and Rob George came in 25th and 27th with times of 17:50 and 17:52. Jay Malejki ran 18:10, which was was good enough for 52nd. John Healy finished in 57th place with a time of 18:20. Jim Geant ran a time of 18:36 finishing in 76th place. Dave Leipa was the last man acorss the line in 109th place with a time of 19:14.

The girl's cross country team also finished 5th in the County Championships. Isobel Graf and Lindsey Setaro crossed the line back to back in 33rd and 34th to lead the team. Their times were 21:22 and 21:23, respectively. Carole Spoth finished 39th at a 21:26 clip. Brittany Ryan and Amanda Sheppard rounded out the top 5 finishing in 46th and 54th at 21:42 and 21:53. Jackie Coleman crossed the line at 22:00, good for 57th place. Ashley Horne finished out the team with an 82nd place finish and a time of 23:00.
