Middletown South vs. Middletown North Dual Meet

Middletown High School South defeated Middletown High School North in cross country Tuesday at Holmdel Park. The results show Middletown South's top six finishing before North's first man; Pat Mantalbano (South, 17:44), Rob George (South, 18:12), Jay Malejki (South, 18:12), Brian Miller (South, 18:13), Anthony Garrido (South, 18:37) , and Jim Geant (South, 18:47). Middletown North's top runners were John Nardini (18:54) who came in 7th, 8th place was Carrol (18:59). South's John Healy (19:03) finished 9th while North runner Morris rounded out the top 10 with a 19:22 time. This was both team's first meet and a long season awaits them. They will both run against each other, as well as many other teams, again at the Randolph Invitational in a special Friday night invitational.
