Middletown South Cross Country defeated Manalapan Tuesday by a score of 24-31 at Holmdel Park. Pat Montalbono was the Eagle's first runner acros and second overall with a time of 18:03. Following close behind were Jay Malejki (18:16), third place overall, fourth place Brian Miller (18:23) and Rob George (18:37) finished fifth overall. Rounding out the scoring for South was John Healy (18:46) in 10th place. The Eagles run at Garret Mountain on Saturday in the PCCA Invitational.
Wednesday the 20th the boy's and girl's soccer teams play Howell High School. The boys are away while the girls are home.
