Offense Carries Eagles to Victory

Middletown South was able to ride its offense to a 13-7 non-divisional victory of the Brick Memorial Mustangs.

Tyler Black started for the Eagles, and gave up five runs over two and a third innings. Brian Dudzinski relieved him to get the last two outs of the third and pitched the three more after that without giving up a run. Nigel Combs closed the game after surrendering an unearned run in the seventh.

Will Schnoor broke out of a recent slide with a 3-4 day at the plate, including a homerun. Mike Guarnieri, Jack Provine, and Miles Santos all added two hits, with Provine and Santos recorded a double and triple, respectively.

The Eagles improve their record to 4-15 and the Mustangs drop to 3-14.

Junior Varsity
The JV Eagles were able win their 12th game of the season by defeating
Brick Memorial by a score of 4-2. Arthur Barnek pitched five innings and allowed only one run. Eric Hogan came on for the six out save. Jon Altino recorded a 4-4 day at the plate, also adding a RBI. Tyler Cottrell went 2-4. Ken Paterson and Jim Geant both had hits, Paterson with a RBI double.
