The Eagles defeated their cross town rival Middletown North 10-4 to move on to the Championship game in the JV Tournament. The win is South's 12th straight, improving their record to 17-3. Evan Mitchell pitched six strong innings, allowing only four runs and picked up the win. Jon Altino, Darin Alcolea, Chris Bunge and all of the Eagles offense had great days at the plate. Arthur Barneck pitched the seventh to close out the victory. The Eagles will look for their 13th straight victory and the JV Championship early next week versus a yet to be determined opponent.
