EAGLES BOUNCE BACK WITH WIN OVER MARLBORO

The Eagles bounced back from a one-run loss at CBA to pound Marlboro 12-4. South put up four runs in the 1st inning and then five more in the 3rd to give junior starter Evan Mitchell a nine run cushion to work with. Mitchell pitched into the fifth inning, allowing one run on three hits and striking out two. Junior Scott Bruno hit three doubles, knocked in two runs, and scored two while junior Craig Sweeney went 2-2 with a triple, a home run, and four runs batted in.
