LEVY LEVELS CASEYS

Seniors Tom Waski and Jay Levy sent their teammates home happy on Senior Night with a 14-6 victory over Red Bank Catholic. Waski pitched four innings allowing only two hits and no runs. Levy opened up the floodgates with a three-run homer in the bottom of the fourth.

The Eagles got on the board in the third inning after junior Kevin Slavin walked, senior Jack Provine got hit by a pitch, and sophomore Craig Sweeney hit an infield single.

Junior Tyler Cotterell and senior Eric Dunn led off the fourth with singles to set up Levy’s homerun. Senior Jon Altino walked and later scored on a single by Provine. Senior Miles Santo worked a bases-loaded walk to drive in another run and junior Mike Farrell capped off the nine-run inning with an RBI single

RBC got on the board with a five-run fifth inning highlighted by senior Kyle O’Neil’s grand slam, but South was able to hold off the Casey’s comeback attempt.

Farrell came back with an RBI double in the sixth, followed by a Cotterell sacrifice fly. Sophomore Scott Bruno then blasted a two-run homerun over the left-field wall to finish off South’s scoring for the night.
