Holding off a late second half push by the Marlboro Mustangs, Middletown South won their fourth straight divisional game, 47-38.
Jill Gannon and Danielle Pankey powered the Eagles scoring 21 and 20 points, respectively.
South had a 23-11 lead at the half, but the Mustangs pulled within four by the end of the fourth quarter by winning the quarter 13-3 to make it a 28-24 South advantage as the final quarter started.
South started to pull away slightly at the beginning of the quarter, but Marlboro rallied late to pull within 5 points with 27 seconds left on the clock.
Pankey downed two free throws with 20 seconds left to close the door on the Mustang rally.
