After holding the Braves to just 11 points in the first half, Middletown South went onto blowout Manalapan 61-31.
It was also the first home game for Jill Gannon since her head injury last January. Gannon again scored the first points of the game, as she did at Middletown North last Friday, this time on two free throws.
The Eagles controlled the game from beginning to end, scoring 17 points in each of the first two quarters, taking a 34-11 lead into half, and did not look back.
South's defense held Manalapan under 10 points for every quarter except the fourth, when both teams emptied the bench.
Shawn Hagen set the pace for the Eagles with 12 points. Danielle Pankey recorded 10 points, with Gannon adding 8 of her own.
Nicole Gurrieri and Amanda McBride led the way in a losing effort for the Braves 10 points each.
With their record standing at 2-0, the Eagles travel to Freehold Township to take on the Patriots.
