The Middletown South Football team lost their second game in a row, this time to Freehold Boro 27-21. The Eagles held a 14-7 lead in the third quarter but the Colonials scored to tie it at 14. After striking back with a touchdown, the Eagles ensuing kickoff was returned for 82 yards for a Freehold touchdown. Another score by Freehold and a failed fourth down conversion secured the Colonials win.
Tomorrow, the boys cross country team will travel to Poughkeepsie, NY to run at the Section 1 Coaches Invitational. Scott Clayton ranked the Eagles tenth in the shore in his most recent Top 10.
